For all of you trying to earn money online, let me warn you that there are people on craigslist, and there are people who will email you saying that you are hired and you will jump through their hoops thinking that the job they said you are hired for is legit. When they say you are hired it is usually for some type of online position. This last one actually had me go through 3 days of "job training" before sending me a check for $1900. They even made me sign an employee contract. They tried to trick me into thinking the job was legit.
If someone sends you a check, here is how to tell if it is fake. On the check I received there was no water mark. Most checks have water marks. Also on the check I received it had the banks name but no address. Most scammers use regular printers to print out checks. They could simply use a program like Photoshop to make a fake check and print it out and send it to you.
Their plan is to have you deposit the check into your bank account, and have you withdraw the money before the check clears. In a couple days the check will in fact not clear because it is fake and you will be out whatever the amount was on the check. Please be careful for scammers!
What you do is call the company's number, if its not provided on the check google and get the phone number. They will in fact tell you if the check is fake. Apparently this "Lakierra Rollins" who works for "IceTrak" has sent out plenty of checks in the amount of $1900.
Please be careful for people like this. There are so many different scams online and unfortunately alot of people fall for them.
Alot of mystery shoppers positions will send you checks like this. If people want to use your paypal account to have people deposit funds into your account, DONT DO IT. There is no reason they cant use their own paypal account if what they are doing is legit.
I hope these tips help you. Dont fall for peoples scams!
